The marble rock is typically composed
of an interlocking mosaic

of carbonate crystals.
And the characteristic swirls and veins

of many colored marble varieties are usually due to various mineral impurities. Therefore the so called Marbling
is a custom hand-made technique
and thanks to the manual finish,
we are able to imitate stone cladding
on the previously prepared 3D printed surface.

MARBLE

ALUMINIUM

A key aspect in achieving the effect

of aluminum is the perfect surface finish. This effect is obtained by applying different supplementary substances

to the surface of the 3D print.

When these substances are utilized

we can then use various methods

and techniques to achieve effects

of different aluminum shade, tailored

to the customer's needs.
 

BRASS

The use of a special blends of paints, varnishes and waxes allows for the effect of brass to be achieved on the 3D print. The technique used in our post-production workshop makes the similarity of the object to the original extremely accurate. The proportions of zinc and copper alloys in a brass object

can vary, therefore we always thoroughly examine which shade of brass

we are after.

The bronze effect can be obtained in two different ways. We can use metal-like filaments such as bronzefill, which is a PLA filament with a certain percentage of bronze powder in it. Or we can make a bronze effect in our post-production facility through blends of paints and varnishes. Through time, original bronze objects oxygenate which results in a green like patina to appear on the surface. This effect can occurs naturally on bronzefill filaments or be specially achieved through methods of post-producing 3D prints.

BRONZE

SANDSTONE

Thanks to the use of special varnish

and sand adding technique, we obtain sandstone structures with a reflection

of their roughness and porosity. Appropriate colorization of the 3D print makes it resemble the original material

of a sandstone or can give it an unique shade.

PORCELAIN

The use of natural base paints, foundations fillers and special varnishes allows to obtain a porcelain effect. Depending on the needs of the project,

it is possible to create patterns combined with gilding.

Porcelain effects can be well combines with both glazes and paint allowing

a huge range of decorative treatments

in objects such as tablewares, vessels and figurines.

STONE

Styling 3D models for any type of stone

is the same as in the case of obtaining

a sandstone effect. In this case,

here we even use natural ingredients

as well as proper blends, thanks to which we obtain the desired surface. Sometimes objects like this have to be adjusted for outside condition in which case we prepare them even

for the toughest weather.

Every type of steel looks different, depending on the alloy mix from which

it's made and the exposition and effect

of time upon it, its stylization is always

a custom made job. The use of a special blends of paints and varnishes allows us to achieve specific shade of color that

we want. Through application of waxes

or additional paint blends, steel objects can be stylized to look like fresh out of the factory or old forgotten steel parts decaying in the mist of time.

STEEL / METAL

In silver stylization, there are also lots

of different method to achieve various

end results. Through silver flake methods or special paints with silver particles

we can get different characteristics more or less shiny. Adding special waxes

and additional paint mixes gives us

old silver with dark sediments that can be observed on old cutlery or silver figurines.

SILVER

Wood effect can be obtained in two different ways. We can use wood-like filaments such as various shades

of woodfill, which is a PLA filament with

a certain percentage of wood pulp.
Or we can make a wood effect in our post-production facility through applying layers of wood looking powders and blends

of paints and varnishes. Wood stylizations and wood filaments can be waxed

and oiled in order bring forth a desired look.

WOOD

The desired effect of copper on the

3D prints is obtained by subjecting the object to special treatments. We use for this, among others, paints and varnishes containing natural copper particles, thanks to which the outer layer retains the natural characteristics of the material.
Copper does not react with water, but

it does slowly react with atmospheric oxygen to form a layer of brown-black copper oxide which we can imitate when wanting to create an old copper objects.

PLASTER

To achieve the effect of gypsum look-alike we use natural adhesives and different types of chalk. Another term used for this material resemblance is stucco, which

is also often used to produce relief decoration, rather than flat surfaces. Some 3D prints can be stylized in such way so that they imitate handmade stucco works on walls or other objects.

When needed the chalk covering can be fastened with special adhesive on the outer layer making it more dust free.

TECHNIQUES

One of the most popular methods

used by us when subjecting 3D printing

to post-production treatments are mixed techniques, which involve combining several or over a dozen activities

with each other. This method allows

to obtain any interesting and unique

end result.

3D Models mounted with lighting

such as industrial or architectural mock-ups, allows you to see completely different perspective of the same object.

In addition, such a model takes on realistic character, which makes it more attractive to potential customers. Constant light, special effects or weather stimulation

can all be obtained through correct light electronics and placement.

3D printed objects don't need to  boring and static prints. We can create models that have moving elements in one print

or construct a moving schematics of parts through partial assembly. Entier cars can be made, and parts of the 3D model

can be tagged with NFC chip for readouts. Screens can be mounted or immersed in the models and with electronics we can create totally interactive experiences.

3D Post-production

If we want something to look like gold there are different method to do this

and all of them give us slightly different end result. Special paint blends determine the colour nuance and varnishes allows to deeper the shine effect or keep it matte. We can also use gold flake method to achieve different characteristics. Adding special waxes and additional paint mixes can give us old gold effect, something that we really like in our post production facility.
